More than thirty years of cane work in Pulluvazhy
Agus Enterprises began making cane furniture in Pulluvazhy, near Perumbavoor, in 1992. Today the workshop makes armchairs and sofa sets, tables, lamp shades, laundry hampers and fruit baskets — sold under the Agus India name to homes, shops and export buyers.
Our craftsmen come from several states of India and bring their own weaves with them, which is why the catalogue is as wide as it is.

Natural cane and rattan are for indoors and covered spaces — a living room, a bedroom or a verandah. Rain and strong sun damage them, so keep them out of the open.
How do I look after cane furniture in the monsoon?
Keep pieces a little away from the wall so air moves around them, and wipe them dry after humid days. Treat any black spots in the weave early — they are the start of mildew. Dust with a soft brush, and never dry a wet piece in direct sun.
